Dance, Beads and Texture

Most of my closest friends know that I am in love with my dance classes at Sfactor. It's like a heavy dose of endorphins in a bottle, two hours twice a week. Slow moving, undulating femme in a dark room; moving however slow or spirited your inner girl may take you.

It's said somewhere that our purpose in life is to live creatively. And 'creatively' can take on many forms of the word: volunteer work, making someone smile, creating a new business model; simply thinking outside of the box and somehow contributing to the world in your fullest form.

I'm finding that my love for Tashi came from a much deeper place. Like a container that is filled with beautiful things, dance and Tashi became intertwined. From dancing in different fabrics and textures created my new love for couture beading. Another hobby or rather, another possibility. How sweet it is to create things that have always stopped me in my tracks – things like, shiny, beady, texturized, colorful pillows, or a delicate embellished scarf. What piece of beauty makes you stop in your tracks?

I wonder what is next for Tashi. Swimsuits? Dancewear?

Not every career path, choice, or passion may come from a conscious, thought out decision. If we simply move through each moment (much like moving through a dark room trusting our senses), we find the answer and live color'fully' with purpose.

One Piece Wonder!

Happy New Year Everyone! It's been a while since I have written, shame on me and my neglect! Between moving into a new apartment, traveling, the holidays, figuring out next steps for Tashi, ordering luscious new pieces for inventory... PHEW! The whirlwind has settled, at last.

I wanted to highlight our new addition, Jenna Leigh and the hottest trend going right now. The one piece - body suit - romper - whatever you would like to call it. They're just so sexy, flirty and versatile. Somehow you just feel put together, simple yet, carefree and comfortable. Think leotard in your rollerskates meets savvy exec in a tailored suit!

Plum Pretty Sugar

There is always that 'something' that makes each individual giddy with excitement. It could be a new beauty product, a specific designer, or genre of music, a new kitchen appliance, new sheets, a new gadget.. you get my drift. My 'giddy' comes from textiles. Beautiful color palettes on a piece of fabric. I actually just realized this not so long ago. So much so, that I found myself furiously looking for new pattern ideas, whistful colors, bohemian lavenders and golds, anything that made me gasp and think "God, I would love to make something out of that - a tunic? Couch? Tapestry? Can I just cut it out and stick it on my wall with scotch tape?" That's when I came across Plum Pretty Sugar. THAT is what I would create. Even their fabric is called 'whisper-soft cotton voile'. Their textile choices are so dreamy I would feel a little bit like a kid again playing 'Princess Something' with Elephante the stuffed animal with it's flat smushed nose. (Everyone had something like that, no?)

My darlings, next time you're in a funk and wonder what the heck is going to reel you back in, sink into yourself and look around you. Whatever makes your eyes widen and your breath quicken, probably makes that one thing a helluva good start. Here's to you smiling...

The sunshine has arrived! Well, maybe not today.

Tashi celebrates its six month mark as your luxe lingerie and loungewear e-boutique! Even during the budding phase, Tashi is blossoming into much more than we have ever anticipated (thanks to you!). We’re featuring your favorite pieces this month, with Eberjey’s Eco-Dream Cami set in white to symbolize Tashi moving forward onto greener and purer pastures. Literally. We are picking up organic luxe brand Eco-Boudoir, and other independent designers such as Plum Pretty Sugar since Clo and Luva Huva have been so well received. Jet Set

I am counting down the days to my little getaway to SoBe in a couple of weeks! Our little trip was postponed in March due to a truly over-rated storm in NYC. Somehow this time I think there will be less in my suitcase than the first time! Right now I can see just packing a bikini, a cover-up - and oh a little chemise for sleepy time.

On Gossamer has lovely pieces this spring. The colors alone have me at the beach already! Check out our Hot Dot Chemise (image above) and their Terry Nightie for the pool or lounging at home. All on www.tashilingerie.com - For those who would like to indulge, here is a little something for you all! Discount code TEY12716 20% off your entire purchase till May 1st!

Not Just Your Daughter's Underwear..

During a recent visit to my quaint abode in NYC, my mother carefully picked through my inventory admiring fine lace, colorful pieces, soft cottons and feminine silhouettes; "Ooohhhhhh....can I try this? " she asked, of a bamboo cotton pj set by Eberjey (she bought the last one, sorry gals!). "Of course you can!", I squealed (Yes - squealed. Is anyone else's voice two octaves higher when with their mum?). She called the next day and lavished over how soft, cozy and luxurious her little set was, and said "Thank you"..

Hey Mom's: Tashi is for you too! There is something for everyone here. Don't let the those tweeny little models fool you. We are women for life and should feel sensual, comfortable and sexy - always. At Tashi, there are no limits!
